If you’re one of our loyal readers, we would like to say thank you and we love you, but also you may feel this sounds familiar because a few months ago, we talked about King Diamond mentioning his plans to start recording a new album right after their touring cycle. Guess what? the King is few weeks away from finishing the “Abigail in Concert 2015” tour, meaning we will get a new album next year!
During a recent interview with The Metal Voice’s Neil Turbin, guitarist Andy LaRocque confirmed the plans to start writing a new record:
“We are going to have a little break after this tour, and after that break we are going to start writing music for the next album.
“We have some riffs but once we start getting into the process it’s going to be lots of brainstorming. It’s going to be somewhere around February.”
Sure, that’s nothing different than what the King said a few months ago but it’s always good to get double-confirmation and even some progress on it to properly build the hype. There were more things discussed on that interview, which you can watch on the video below.
If you haven’t caught King Diamond on their current tour, there’s a chance you can still make it if one of the following stops happens to be your city or around your area:
11/16 Atlanta, GA @ The Tabernacle
11/21 New York, NY @ Best Buy Theatre
11/24 Boston, MA @ Orpheum Theater
11/25 Philadelphia, PA @ The Fillmore

11/30 Minneapolis, MN @ Myth Live
12/02 Tulsa, OK @ Club Brady
