Jamey Jasta has always managed to keep himself buys. His podcast seems to have taken off, and is one of the top three metal podcasts out there, according to a statistic we just made up. And Hatebreed, although they haven’t released an album since 2013’s The Divinity of Purpose, are still out there. But it’s been since 2011 that his side project Jasta released anything. That ended today, as Jasta popped back up with “The Immortal,” the entrance theme for UFC fighter Matt “The Immortal” Brown.
The song will have it’s nationwide debut as Brown takes the ring to it at the UFC 185 pay per view event in Dallas on March 14th. You can stream it below, however. There’s no word on whether or not there’s another Jasta album in the works, but he is playing at the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival. This isn’t the first time Jasta has associated himself with sports, as he’s written the “Stat of the Week” theme for sportscaster Dan Patrick.
