If we hear one more cover of Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky,” we are gonna… wait… it’s Halestorm? Nevermind.
Yes, now even Halestorm are offering their own rock twist of the summer hit, but to hear Lzzy Hale sing about getting lucky offers a spin like none of the other attempts you’ve heard. Yet this isn’t the first time Halestorm have ventured outside their comfort zone for song remakes. Their cover of Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” even impressed Doc Coyle and we are thinking the metal world may embrace this version of Daft Punk’s hit just as whole-heartedly. But don’t take our word for it, head over to Revolver, or check it out for yourself below.
The pop cover comes ahead of Halestorm’s new EP release, ReAniMate 2.0: The CoVeRs eP, dropping October 15. The second installation in the band’s cover series also offers remakes of:
- Dissident Aggressor (Judas Priest)
- Get Lucky (Daft Punk)
- Shoot To Thrill (AC/DC)
- Hell Is For Children (Pat Benatar)
- Gold Dust Woman (Fleetwood Mac)
- 1996 (Marilyn Manson)
