Following the COVID-19 pandemic resulting in cancelled touring plans, Deadlights featuring members Re Mayer (guitar/backing vocals/synth) and Nathanael Bohnet (bass/lead vocals), decided it was time to reinvent themselves and created the new moniker No Hope For The Lost. The duo worked on the new EP, The Pilgrimage, to introduce their fresh sound and overall style. Fans of the Playstation 2 classic Final Fantasy X, where gamers would get lost within the game’s game of Blitzball, will want to check out No Hope For The Lost’s new EP, out tomorrow (9th). Today (8th) group has teamed up with Metal Insider for the EP’s full stream premiere. Pilgrimage is heavy, atmospheric, and brings a unique tribute to the classic game.

The band comments:

“The Pilgrimage is a high-energy EP based on groove, melody, and a massive-sounding layered production. It draws influences from many sounds that prevailed through the 2010s, while continuously tipping a hat to the atmospheric soundscapes and vibes of the early 2000s. In a world where the fine line between djent, metalcore, and progressive metal is continuously blurred, The Pilgrimage is a sound confident on its own that refuses to fit in while still having the formulas that make interesting and catchy music. The Pilgrimage is a sound that imagines the heavy side of catchy, and the catchy side of heavy.”
