Last Friday night, Anthrax premiered a new song on Eddie Trunk’s “Friday Night Rocks” radio show on New York’s Q104.3 FM. Since then, “The Devil You Know” has been streaming at Guitar World Magazine’s website. Thanks to the internet, though, the song has already made its way around YouTube, allowing you to listen to the song in videos like up top.

“The Devil You Know” certainly has more of a rock vibe than most Anthrax tunes, with even guitarist Rob Caggiano admitting that it sounds like a cross between “Caught in a Mosh” and AC/DC ‘s “Whole Lotta Rosie.” Nonetheless, the song kicks major ass. And having already heard an advance press copy of the long awaited Worship Music, we can say that it’s not only Anthrax’s strongest album in a long time, but is already one of our favorite releases of 2011. And it’s only August!

You can listen to “The Devil You Know” up top (until the video is taken down, at least). The song will be made available for digital purchase starting tomorrow. In case you don’t already know, Worship Music comes out on September 13 via Megaforce Records.
