It’s been pretty fun watching Portland’s Red Fang come up. You can track their development though their album’s videos, basically. Starting with “Prehistoric Dog” from their first album on Sargent House, it showed the band drinking beer and facing off against LARPers. The video showed they had a sense of humor to match their stoner rock riffage. Signed to Relapse for their sophomore album, Murder the Mountains, the video for “Wires” was just as inventive, and even had a cameo from labelmate Brian Posehn. While there’s no video for “Blood Like Cream” yet, the first single from their third album, Whales and Leeches, went on sale today, and is streaming on Spin.
