Spacepolicebyedguy1) Edguy – Space Police: Defenders of the Crown

Edguy really put out a release to be remembered this year. For the past few albums, they have been putting out slower, more melody based power metal (which I also greatly enjoyed), but for this album they returned to form, and put out a release much more like their classic work. It’s melodic, the riffs are cool, it’s catchy as hell, and there’s the traditional Edguy sense of humor to it. In terms of power metal, this record just has pieces of it all. This album was a truly delightful listen across the board.

Key Track: “Defenders of the Crown”
