Seems as though most metal news websites missed out on this story from back in April, so take that how you will. Guitarist Paul Allender has left Cradle of Filth according to a Facebook post that can be seen below where Allender confirms it himself. This marks the second time Allender has left the band, the first time having been in 1994 after the band released their debut album. He would later return in 1999, but seems to have left again in favor of his own band White Empress. Before leaving the band, Allender sat out Cradle of Filth’s European tour for personal reasons at the same time as the band’s other guitarist James McIlroy, who was dealing with neck problems.

As for the rest of the band, Total Fucking Darkness, a demo from when the band first started, was released a month ago and the band has a new full length planned for next year. You can check out Allender’s band White Empress here.
