Last year, Kill Devil Hill (featuring ex-Pantera bassist Rex Brown and ex-Black Sabbath drummer Vinny Appice in its ranks) released its self-titled debut via SPV/Steamhammer Records. And while we knew the supergroup was working on its follow up album, we didn’t realize until now that they would be doing it via a new label home.
Kill Devil Hill has announced that they’ve signed to Century Media Records. The label is expected to release the band’s sophomore album sometime this fall in North America. Brown had the following to say about the group’s new label home:
“It’s a real pleasure being on a label that feels like home! Since day one with Century Media, it’s been great knowing that they have the same mutual beliefs and goals that we do – to keep hard rock and metal alive and kicking, and to bring our music to as many fans as we can! These guys have the best track record around when it comes to hard rock and metal music, and it’s great to know that we’re on the same page and striving for the same things!”
The band will also be announcing dates for a fall tour in support of the new album, though exact details remain unknown. Mark this as another big grab for Century Media, whose roster not only includes a wide ranging list of bands (everyone from Queensryche to Watain) but also joined forces with Earache earlier this year.
