Paws, Pets & Metal is Metal Insider’s newest column on bands with pets, discovering who watches them on the road, and more. Get to know more about these metal furbabies. We caught up with the extreme metallers Foetal Juice as their pets view their musical career as a “hobby.”

Tell us more about your pet(s) and their names?

I’ve got a tortoise shell colour cat called Nell, and a Mongrel Terrier dog called Larry.

Have you ever taken your pet on tour?

Nah, it would be cruel to do something like that. Animals with more sensitive ears than us shouldn’t be taken to concerts. I watched a Taylor Swift concert on Netflix where there were a lot of audience members who brought small dogs with them. It’s stupidity and cruelty at its best. Shit like that influences a lot of our songs which are about the stupidity and selfishness of the human race. It’s cruel for humans to be subjected to that drivel, never mind small defenseless animals.

Who looks after your pet while on the road?

My other half looks after my pets whilst I’m playing shows, so it works out really well.

What’s your pet’s favourite song or album?

The Cat loves “Wet Ass Pussy” by Cardi B, she really relates to the lyrics especially when on heat. And the dog fucking hates Cat Stevens.

How did you introduce your pet to metal?

With difficulty. They both look down on me for what I do as a hobby.

What animal charity means most to you?

The RSPCA is where we got our dog from and it’s a place we always try to help out whenever we can.
