The wait is over – here’s new music from The Dillinger Escape Plan!

Posted by on September 30, 2015

Okay, well, we didn’t say a whole song. Yesterday The Dillinger Escape Plan guitarist Benjamin Weinman shared an Instagram clip from in the studio that quoted Pearl Jam’s “Jeremy.” Is it a cover of the song? Absolutely not. We do get to hear some sweet riffs and drumming courtesy of Billy Rymer. It’s hard to judge a song based on six seconds of it, so we’re not going to. However, it suggests that the band’s making some solid progress on the follow-up to 2013’s One of Us is the Killer. While the band said earlier this year that they’d be headed into the studio in November, either this is some pretty-far-along pre-production, or they’re running way ahead of schedule.

If six seconds of Dillinger is too much of a tease and you want to hear frontman Greg Puciato sing msuic that sounds nothing like his main band, check out The Black Queen.
