High on Fire said they would be entering the studio after a January tour, and they weren’t lying. Producer Kurt Ballou has posted some photos on Facebook of the mighty-trio are hard at work on their seventh full-length album.

Last year, when asked about the new album, drummer Des Kensel summed it up nicely:

“Everyone is asking what the new High on Fire music sounds like. Chew on some mescaline and listen to side B of Sabbath’s ‘Master of Reality’ backwards at 78 RPM and it might give you an idea.”

This new album will be their third album with eOne, and will come out later this year.
