Guitar and studio wizard Les Paul passed away today at the age of 94. The guitar legend is best known for creating multitrack recording, tape delay and the solid-body guitar (the Gibson Les Paul). Paul suffered complications from severe pneumonia in White Plains, New York.
His guitar playing and the Les Paul model changed the world of rock and roll, influencing everyone from Jimmy Page to Slash. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer is survived by his three sons, a daughter, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and of course, his legacy.
