amneisa-rockfest-2015Aside from the Slipknot/Lamb of God tour and a few other ones, there are still a lot of questions as to what bands we’ll be seeing on the road this Summer. The Mayhem Fest still hasn’t said anything about who’s playing, and while we’ll get to see AC/DC, Rob Zombie, and others, there haven’t been a ton of announcements yet about what huge bands will be on the road in the States. Canada, on the other hand, has some huge festivals, already announcing that Slipknot and Faith No More will be playing Heavy Montreal. Today, the Amnesia Rockfest, announced today for Montebello, Quebec for June 18-21, might have just outdone even Heavy Montreal.

System of a Down are among the headliners, and given how few North American shows they’ve announced, that’s something right there. However, Deftones will be there as well, playing Around the Fur in its entirety. You want reunions? They have reunions too! Refused, Thrice, Snapcase,  Walls of Jericho, From Autumn to Ashes and Atreyu will be playing. And in addition to Deftones, The Offspring and Rancid will be playing complete albums as well (Americana and …And Out Come the Wolves, respectively). Slayer, Carcass, Bolt Thrower, Ministry, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Rob Zombie, Down, Fear Factory, Hatebreed, Linkin Park and Melvins are among the many bands that will be playing the fest as well. There will even be a comedy aspect this year, with Steve-O and Tom Green among those performing.

The best thing about it? Weekend passes are only $120 (plus fees and taxes). That’s ridiculously inexpensive, and with the fest having sold out the past two years, there’s no reason to think that it won’t happen again this year. You can pick up tickets here.
