If you live in the Los Angeles area and like free events, we have some news that you may like. We are proud to introduce a new Metal Insider-cosponsored event called The Black Communion, a monthly series of free shows here to unite the LA metal community. The Black Communion is for fans by fans and will focus on bringing to light some of the Los Angeles area’s best metal acts along with bands that have created a bigger impact in the metal scene across the country.
The next event will take place on August 15th at The Regent theater in Downtown LA and will be free if you’re 21+, $5 after 10pm and if you’re under 21.
For the month of August, The Black Communion has recruited some of Los Angeles’ best thrash metal bands like Tormenter, BRaIN DEaD and Kaustik, along with San Francisco’s Hatchet and blackened hardcore Dowrr. But the lineup will be led by Eliminate, the recently formed band with classic members of Dark Angel, Whiplash, Kreator, Hirax, Devastation and Subversion. The band expressed this about the show:
The time has come… our next show is a FREE one at The Regent in Los Angeles as part of their monthly The Black Communion on Aug. 15th. It’s going to be a crazy night as we perform the classics from “We Have Arrived” and “Darkness Descends” along with some surprises and new originals. Sharing the stage is our new Bay Area brothers in Hatchet (Official), as well as locals KAUSTIK, Tormenter, BRaIN DEaD and Dowrr.
