Word of advice to all prospective criminals out there: If you’re going to do a heist anywhere, make sure you have everything planned out, from focusing on what you’re going to rob, to an untraceable and effective escape scheme. I come with these words of wisdom because someone didn’t do that and got caught by the most stupid way.
Billboard reports that the Raleigh Police Department in North Carolina reported the robbery of the Walnut Creek Amphitheater where three masked bandits armed robbed the venue at gunpoint of $500.000, but in a rush to leave the premises as quickly as possible, the robbers didn’t closed their bags properly and left a trail of cash which the police followed, leading to the apprehension of one of the perpetrators.
Let me reiterate that last part: They followed a trail of cash that flew out of one of the bags and found one of the bandits! As funny and cartoonish as it sounds, you may be wondering why are we reporting on this. The reason is cause the venue’s last show was Kid Rock, who brought his Cheap Date Tour to town this past Saturday, July 11. The other suspects are still on the loose with money paid by Kid Rock’s fans. That’s a lot of $20 bills.
