Why should major label bands be the only ones who get love? Unsigned & Streamed is a column where we stream a song from an unsigned band we at Metal Insider really dig.

This week, we’re excited to expose the UK based group Red Seas Fire. You may actually recognize their guitarist Adam “Nolly” Getgood, who has filled in on guitar and bass for Periphery numerous times in Europe. Originally formed in 2007 by guitarist Pete “PeteyG” Graves, this five piece band’s lineup became complete with the addition of singer Robin Adams in the Fall of 2010. The following year, Red Seas Fire turned heads with the release of their six track self-titled debut. Red Seas Fire’s sound is a refreshing blend of The Human Abstract’s progression and Machine Head’s old-school groove. So without further ado, give their song “Timeframes” a listen in the stream below.

Red Seas Fire have a few shows lined up in the UK this Summer, including appearances at the UK Tech-Metal Fest and Ghostfest 2012. You can download Red Seas Fire’s self-titled debut for free via their website, while you can also stay informed about all of their upcoming plans and shows via Facebook.

If you’re in an unsigned band and would like to participate in Unsigned & Streamed, email a link to your band’s music and a brief bio to tips [at] metalinsider.com for consideration.
