2) My Friends Resent My Success

A questions was submitted about a person losing their marriage and regular life who is wondering if they should stick to what they’ve known forever, or find themselves a new path in a new career. Andrew explained, rather nicely, that just because something doesn’t go perfectly the first time, doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be pursued again. “Just because a particular business didn’t work out doesn’t mean your passion for it was wrong. Just because I went to a party that was shut down by the cops doesn’t mean I’m going to give up on partying completely. You do what you love because you love, not because it’s easy or it always goes smoothly.” He explains the importance of making life about doing what you love, whether it’s the easiest option or not.

1) “How Do I Find a Best Friend?”

Andrew received a question about a person wondering how they could get a best friend. What’s truly inspiring is the advice to remember you always have yourself. The opportunity to make friends is always there, but how often do people stick with the same group of friends their entire lives? The most important thing in life is not that you have a best friend; but that you’re taking care of yourself and that nothing is forced. “We don’t need to force our relationships into being very close friendships forever–just take them as they come.”
