Metal By Numbers 4/17: All hail Stan

Posted by on April 17, 2019

Metal By Numbers is a weekly column in which we look at the top metal sellers and debuts of the week.

In previous years of writing this column, I’ve refrained from sharing personal thoughts on some of the albums that show up on here, mainly because I’m here to talk about sales numbers, not give reviews. But it’s hard to not share thoughts, so sometimes I just have to gush a bit. In this case, Periphery is a band I’ve followed since their debut album, so it’s always great to see how far they’ve come since then. VI: Hail Stan already has some serious end-year list potential for me. And Eluveitie’s new album is a hurdy-gurdy good time.
