Xandria has had quite a few lineup changes since 2003’s Kill the Sun. The German symphonic metal outfit recruited vocalist Dianne van Giersbergen and bassist Steve Wussow back in 2013 who have both worked on 2014’s Sacrificium and their latest effort Theater of Dimensions, which was released earlier this year via Napalm Records. Despite their changeups, it was their most recent album that led them to book their first North American headlining tour this past May. To celebrate their success, they revealed a second headlining trek that was expected to kick off at the end of this month on September 29th in Buffalo, NY.
Unfortunately, due to unclear reasons, Giersbergen cannot perform with the band for the time being and the group has no choice but to cancel their upcoming Russia shows as well as their North American tour. The group expressed these reasons are beyond anyone’s power and are currently working on a make up tour.
In the meantime, they’ve recruited vocalist Aeva Maurelle (Aeverium) for their upcoming European trek in November and December.

“Dear all,
Some bad and some good news, folks:
Starting with the bad news first: It comes with grief and sadness that our singer Dianne cannot perform with us for the time being.
Sometimes these things are beyond your own power and there is a life offside the stages of the world which requires appropriate attention, so please bear with us.
This unfortunately also means that we have to cancel the upcoming Russia shows in Moscow and St. Petersburg as well as the following US tour in the end of September and October.
We are already working on new dates for these stretches, yet can’t determine an exact time window by now already.
