Revolver Golden Gods Announce Nominees, Metallica To Headline Award Show

Posted by on January 30, 2013

It’s that time of year again, where the nominees for the Revolver Golden Gods Awards are announced. Taking place on at May 2 at Club Nokia in LA, the award show will broadcast live on AXS TV and broadcast in the U.S. once again through Xbox LIVE and Facebook. However, Revolver have some very special plans for the fifth annual award show.

Not only are they giving Metallica the Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Achievement Award, but they also will have them headline the award show. In addition to Metallica, the show will also feature performances from Five Finger Death Punch, Anthrax, Stone Sour, The Dillinger Escape Plan and Halestorm. That’s right, Metallica and all of those bands will be performing on the same stage on the same night!

The evening will once again be hosted by Fozzy singer/WWE star Chris Jericho, who announced the nominees earlier today along with Sebastian Bach, Scott Ian and others. Receiving this year’s  Golden Gods Award will be Rob Zombie, while Tony Iommi will receive the Riff Lord Award.
