This year has been rough for Florida’s Evergreen Terrace. Back in February, drummer Brad Moxey fell down a ladder and fractured his elbow, forcing the band to cancel their appearance at Soundwave in Australia; A month later, the band announce the cancellation of their headlining tour across the US due to Moxey’s medical condition; and now, we have word that founding member and singer, Andrew Carey, has left the band according to the statement he gave to Lambgoat:

“I quit Evergreen Terrace. As Danny Glover would often say in the hit movies from the 90’s, Lethal Weapon 1, 2, and 3, ‘I’m getting too old for this shit.’ Thanks to everyone who supported us throughout the years.”

The band later confirmed Carey’s departure by releasing this statement on their Facebook:

“As many of you know, Andrew hasn’t been performing with ET for quite a while in order to focus on a career in nursing. Today he is officially leaving the band after 15 years of killing it. Wish him well!”

This is a huge blow to the band and pushes us to wonder if the band will come to an end soon or if they will continue despite the adversity.

Pseudo-writer with little to no expectations of ever winning a Pulitzer but totally down to write about your unknown band if it's good to my ears.
