Metal By Numbers is a weekly column in which we look at the top metal sellers and debuts of the week.
So, MBN on a Friday huh? What gives you might ask? Well, pretty soon we’re going to start getting our new music releases on Fridays anyway, so oh well. Anyway, most of you will be happier with our top debut this week than last week. This week also saw a handful of albums drop off MBN, but we’ve gained a lot of new ones as well. Also, I had a bit of trouble remembering how to spell certain band names in this particular edition, so see if you can guess which ones they were.

The band’s eleventh album debuts slightly higher numbers than its predecessor.
Unleashed, Dawn of the Nine (Nuclear Blast) 730 sold
Swedish death metallers return with album number twelve.
Korpiklaani, Noita (Nuclear Blast) 710 sold
The title of the folk metal band’s ninth album translates to “witch”.
Coliseum, Anxiety’s Kiss (Deathwish) 520 sold
The band’s fifth album is their first release on Deathwish.
Drudkh, A Furrow Cut Short (Season of Mist) 430 sold
This is the tenth album from the Ukrainian black metallers.
Satyricon, Live at the Opera (Napalm) 400 sold
The band recorded this live album back in 2013 with the Norwegian Opera Choir.
Auras, Crestfallen EP (eOne) 300 sold
This Canadian prog metal band is currently opening for The Contortionist.

A slight boost of 8%. Because, you know, it was drastically needed.

A drop of 1%.
