If you’re one of those fans who want to see Slayer’s original lineup on stage once again, we’ve got bad news for you, which should come to no surprise to anyone at this point. Metal Hammer decided to shatter everyone’s dreams by reiterating Dave Lombardo’s current relationship with Slayer and asking Kerry King about the possibility of seeing Lombardo back in their ranks, to which he responded:

“I would imagine. I’ve learned a lot … [Laughs] I learn something new every day, let me tell you. But I never say never, because I thought that door had slammed shut the first time. But is it shut today? Yeah, that lock’s on there pretty good.”

Basically, he’s saying that he doesn’t see that happening anytime soon, unless things mellow down like they did in the past and the opportunity to cash out on an original lineup reunion tour appears and he decides that money is more important than pride. Let’s just hope this doesn’t turn into a dead horse beating like Vinnie Paul answering Pantera reunion questions like he does in every single interview he does.
