Former Scar the Martyr and current Thrown Into Exile vocalist Henry Derek Bonner was seriously injured in a car accident late on Sunday night. Thrown Into Exile took to their Facebook page, sending a chilling picture of Bonner’s car and a message stating that their singer was injured and that they were cancelling tonight’s show at the Viper Room. Here’s their message:

If you’re a regular reader of Metal Insider or any other metal news source, you’ve heard Bonner’s name quite a bit lately. In addition to having been the original vocalist of Scar the Martyr and joining Thrown Into Exile, he’s also in the new project featuring former Megadeth members Chris Broderick and Shawn Drover. So Bonner has gone from being one of the hardest-working vocalists in metal to someone that’s currently in the hospital. It’s good to know via the post that he’s “ok and in one piece.” We’ll be sure to bring you updates as we hear more.
