Remember a few weeks ago when Foo Fighters appeared on Late Show with David Letterman and covered Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs?” They decided to do it again on Halloween when the band was playing in Nashville. Only this time, they did it in corpse paint! The whole band took to the stage with makeup on, with Chris Shiflett wearing a “nudie suit” to compliment his and Dave Grohl rocking a Voivod shirt, which to be fair, probably was less a costume and more a shirt he had lying around. With the Nashville episode of their HBO series Sonic Highways airing that evening, they then turned in a three-hour show that not only included Zac Brown, but also Tony Joe White, both of whom were also in the episode that aired that evening and was screened for those in attendance. The band also covered songs by Cheap Trick, Van Halen, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers and Queen and David Bowie’s “Under Pressure.”
