We already knew that Arch Enemy, currently on tour as of today with Kreator and Huntress, had recorded a cover of Judas Priest’s “Breaking the Law.” In fact, if you’re one of the first 500 people to do so, you can pick up a vinyl version of it. That being said, if you’re not in a tour market, you probably want to hear if the band does Priest any justice with their take on it. Thanks to Revolver, you can now hear the track. It’s a pretty Arch Enemy-ized version of the song, much heavier than the original, and not just because of Alissa White-Gluz’ vocals. You won’t be disappointed, but Rob Halford might be. Here’s what Michael Amott says about their take on it:
“When we do covers, we have a tendency to pick somewhat obscure songs. However, the iconic ‘Breaking The Law’ anthem by JUDAS PRIEST is anything but that of course! This just started with a fun jam in the studio, and during the process, we tried to make it sound as ARCH ENEMY as possible – it turned out pretty f’n cool, and here it is…Enjoy!”
