Slipknot’s Knotfest has lined up a truly impressive lineup of metal for their Knotfest, taking place this October 24-26th in San Bernardino CA. But if the likes of Slipknot, Anthras, Testament, Hatebreed, Danzig, and Carcass wasn’t enough, the festival still had a fourth stage to reveal. They’ve done that today and the results are… kinda anti-climactic, actually. The Headbang for the Highway Stage presented by Zippo Encore will feature The Faceless on Saturday, October 25th, which is a great addition to the fest. That being said, it’s the only band we’ve heard of from that. Sunday, the stage will be headlined by Dead For Denver, an unsigned band. There will be eleven other unsigned bands playing the fourth stage on Saturday and Sunday.
Headbang for the Highway is a tour that’s taking place in the Southwest that’s a battle of the bands where one band each night will get to play Knotfest. Granted, it’s definitely a big deal for these bands to be able to play the festival, but a whole stage with relatively unknown bands probably won’t attract anyone more than fans of said bands. Regardless, the showcases to have bands play on the festival still has a handful of showcases, which you can find more out about here. Here are the dates, with the names of the first two bands that will play Knotfest:
