Parlophone Records (BMG/Ingrooves in the US) will be reissuing the first eight Iron Maiden albums in heavyweight 180g black vinyl, along with limited edition 7″ singles (19 of them!) to go along with each album. Both will be made from the original, analog master tapes.
The first batch, Iron Maiden, Killers, and The Number Of The Beast, along with seven 7″ singles, will go on sale October 14th in the US, and will be available with a limited edition collector’s box, to store the entire eight album collection.
Then, on October 28th, Piece Of Mind, Powerslave and Live After Death, along with six 7″ singles go up for sale.
Finally, Somewhere In Time and Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son, along with six 7″ singles, will come out on November 25th, just as we’re heading into the holiday season.
“This now completes Maiden’s 1980’s touring and catalogue reissues cycle,” says their website, “so the band are free to focus on their dynamic future plans.” In 2012 Iron Maiden released the same albums as vinyl picture discs, to commemorate the band’s Maiden England tour at the time.
