Last weekend, Jason McCash, longtime bassist of The Gates of Slumber, passed away. And while the memorial fund to help benefit his wife and three children is off to a solid start, his family will still need help even beyond the $20,000 that it seems like they’re on track to make. On that front, a handful of like-minded bands have pacted together for The Templar of Doom – Benefit for the family of Jason McCash. The event, talking place on Saturday July 12 at the Sidebar in Baltimore, MD will feature Earthride, Pale Divine, Argus and Beelzefuzz. This event will take in addition to what’s normally Wisconsin’s Days of the Doomed Fest in June, which has officially been renamed “Days of the Doomed Fest IV – In Memory of Jason McCash.”
The above image will be available as a shirt, but will also be available as part of a “memorial bundle,” which will also include a button and a special tribute rubber wrist band. There will only be 100 bundles made, and they’ll be available both at the Baltimore and Indianapolis benefits. Proceeds will go directly to McCash’s wife and kids. You can find out more about that here.
