Dave Mustaine is becoming refined in his old age. While he had made coffee in the past, it now looks like he’s branching out into alcoholic beverages. The Megadeth frontman will be playing a sold-out show with the San Diego Symphony next month, and to commemorate the show, he’s now making wine. Mustaine Vineyards’ “Symphony Interrupted” Select Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 is available now. The wine is available to U.S. customers only, and you’ll only be able to pick up three bottles. And they certainly sell it cheesily:
Dave Mustaine often says classical IS metal, and now it is time to partake of the highlights and distinctive notes of life’s finer things. Raise a glass of our very first bottling of Mustaine Vineyards wine from the sunny hills of Fallbrook, California and lest we forget, tonight is ours forever.
There were also two etched limited edition bottles made that exist, but aren’t available to purchase. It will be interesting to see if he keeps his new enterprise going following the Symphony. If there’s a new way, he’ll be the first in wine…
