So far, Motörhead hasn’t played out since last August, when they had to cut short their performance at Germany’s Wacken Open Air festival after half an hour. Since then, frontman Lemmy has recuperating after having some heart issues and being outfitted with a defibrillator. The band put off touring for the rest of the year, even as Aftershock was released and became their highest-charting album in America. Now it looks like the band will be coming back in style, as visitors to Coachella’s Facebook page are shown the above image, while visitors to the festival’s website are presented with a video of their iconic anthem “Ace of Spades.” While the rest of the lineup has yet to be announced, the festival has been giving hints about a few more artists playing, suggesting Glitch Mob, The Internet and DJ/Producer The Magician might be playing. No word yet on if any more heavy acts will be joining Motörhead at the festival.
Coachella will take place from April 12-14 and the following weekend in Indio, CA. While Motörhead have European dates starting in February, the Coachella dates would be their first American shows.
