Last weekend, Melvins drummer Dale Crover sat in on an emotional set by Eyehategod, their first show since the passing of the band’s longtime drummer Joey LaCaze. The band have followed up that set at the Housecore Horror Film Fest by announcing their new drummer. Hailing from the band’s hometown of New Orleans, Aaron Hill has logged time in Missing Monuments and Mountain of Wizard. The band’s first show with Hill will be tonight at Jefferson LA’s House of Shock.
The new drummer announcement comes as the band continues work on their extremely long-awaited follow-up to 2000’s Confederacy of Ruined Lives. Sanford Parker is mixing the album. Following the band’s show tonight, Eyehategod will be playing the following dates:
