For well over 40 years, Motörhead frontman Lemmy has been seemingly indestructible. He’s drank more, smoked more and inhaled more than an army of men, looking unchanged by time while managing to release music that’s still vital. However, the singer/bassist is 68 years old (!), and a recent interview in Classic Rock Magazine reveals that he’s undergoing “heart problems.” Guitarist Phil Campbell told the magazine that Lemmy has been outfitted with a defibrillator. It’s not known when this was done, but it doesn’t seem to have impacted his life all that much. He appeared fine at last month’s Golden Gods awards, and Motörhead played a set at this past weekend’s Download Festival in the UK.

Lemmy’s health also isn’t impeding work on a new Motörhead album, however. The band’s 21st studio album is tentatively due in September. Like the band’s last four albums, Cameron Webb is producing. Song titles include “Dust and Glass,” “Knife,” “Going To Mexico,” “Lost Woman Blues,” Death Machine” and “Heartbreaker.” The band will be touring Europe this Summer, and will presumably tour the States once the new album is out.
