While Lamb of God vocalist Randy Blythe has been in prison for over two weeks in Prague on suspicion of manslaughter, he did have a bit of consolation yesterday, as he got to meet with his wife Cindy. “It was really good to see him,” she told Czech media yesterday. “I miss him very much and I really hope I get to see him soon, and that we’ll be together again soon. So this was a special day, getting to see him. I think it’s terrible what happened — that the kid lost his life and his family lost him — but I believe [Randy] is innocent. That’s what I believe.” The two hour meeting took place yesterday. While he’s still being held while prosecutors decide to charge him with a crime, at least he was able to have his wife visit him, who no doubt told him of the outcry and support that his case has gotten in the States and beyond.

Speaking of support, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne have become perhaps the most high-profile people to call attention to the Blythe case. “Please support former Ozzfest member Randy Blythe from Lamb of God,” Sharon tweeted. Ozzy followed suit with the same tweet. While every metalhead knows how Ozzy is, Sharon’s role as a judge on America’s Got Talent suggests that many outside the metal world, who are the people that really need to know about this case, might hear about it. And while you might not be an Osbourne, but you can still show your support by signing a petition urging that the White House to help free Blythe. While the White House probably won’t take official action, a 25,000-strong petition would certainly show that it’s a worthy cause people are rallying behind. So far, in 8 days, the petition has garnered over 9,000 signatures.

Lastly, The Gauntlet has uncovered some pictures taken of Daniel N. onstage, which allegedly was from a fourth time he found his way up onstage. While Randy clearly has his hands on Daniel, as you can see from the photo to the right, it’s not like he seems to mind. He’s clearly onstage, but appears to be having a good time. It certainly doesn’t look like he’s being thrown down by the singer, and it’s inconclusive at best to say that the hit that made Daniel’s brain bleed came from this or the other three times he was onstage, where he stage dove or was thrown off by a large security guard.
