Despite reuniting for a handful of shows, At The Drive-In have no plans to record any new material. That’s partially because singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala and guitarist Omar Rodriguez-Lopez still keep themselves busy with The Mars Volta. And even with the At The Drive-In reunion shows scheduled for this Spring/Summer, The Mars Volta will be releasing their sixth studio album Noctourniquet on March 27.
The alt prog rock group gave fans their first taste of Noctourniquet last month with the song “The Malkin Jewel.” And yesterday, The Mars Volta released another song called “Zed And Two Naughts” for free stream. The new song, which can be downloaded after pre-ordering the album, is more fast paced than “The Malkin Jewel,” which is a bit more groove oriented. Both tracks, though, continue to show The Mars Volta’s experimental madness.
You can give both “Zed And Two Naughts” and “The Malkin Jewel” a listen after the jump. Once again, Noctourniquet will be released on March 27 via Warner Bros. Records.
