Well, that’s kind of meta. The first ‘Iron Man’ film featured Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man” in the trailer. The second movie inexplicably featured a soundtrack made of AC/DC songs. The trailer for the forthcoming ‘Avengers’ movie represents a return to form, featuring Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, aka Robert Downey Jr., prominently wearing a Black Sabbath shirt during several scenes.

Ironically, the song wasn’t actually written about the Marvel superhero. Originally called “Iron Bloke,” Geezer Butler wrote the song about a man that travels into the future and sees the apocalypse. He’s turned to metal and muted upon his return to the present, and winds up causing the apocalypse he initially saw in the future. But hey, the comic books and movies are pretty good too. And anyone that’s into superhero movies has got to be geeking out about seeing so many Marvel superheroes on the big screen for the first time. The trailer can be seen after the jump.
