The Estate of Bon Scott has announced an expansive lineup of events, collaborations, and limited-edition releases to mark what would have been the legendary frontman’s 80th birthday on July 9, 2026.Best known as the iconic voice of AC/DC, Scott’s legacy will be honored through exclusive collectibles, tribute events, new media content, and global celebrations.
Limited-edition collectibles
German audio brand Neumann will release a signature product in partnership with the Estate on Scott’s birthday. The Perth Mint will issue collector’s-edition 1oz gold and 10oz silver bars, following its sold-out 2024 silver proof coin. Artist Reg Mombassa has created commemorative artwork for posters and apparel, while KnuckleBonz will unveil its third Bon Scott statue, inspired by the band’s 1978 Powerage tour.
Apparel and collaborations
Dixxon Flannel Co. and Copa Football Jerseys will release limited-edition “Bon 80” apparel, featuring the officially registered Bon Scott tartans created with Gordon Nicolson Kiltmakers of Edinburgh. Additional merchandise will be available through Perryscope Productions and Merch Jungle.

Tribute events and screenings
The 20th anniversary of Bonfest will take place May 1–3, 2026, in Kirriemuir, Scotland, featuring guests including Reef and former AC/DC drummer Chris Slade. New York City will host the third annual Bon’s Birthday Bash on July 6, while the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will present a one-night-only screening of Let There Be Rock: The Movie, accompanied by a special memorabilia display.
Digital and media initiatives
The Estate has partnered with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation to provide archival footage for Scott’s official YouTube channel. New interviews with artists, including Rick Springfield, Sammy Hagar, and Scott Ian, will also be featured.
