Members of the legendary Finnish melodic death metal band Children of Bodom will honor the band’s legacy with a special concert, A Celebration Of Music, on February 26, 2026, at Tavastia in Helsinki. Tickets, which went on sale earlier this morning (29th), via Tiketti.fi, have already sold out within hours of release.

The event will reunite original members Henkka Seppälä (bass), Janne Wirman (keyboards), Jaska Raatikainen (drums), and early guitarist Alexander Kuoppala, along with longtime friend Samy Elbanna of Lost Society, for a night dedicated to celebrating the music and memory of Alexi Laiho, who passed away in December 2020.

Children of Bodom initially commented:

“We want to celebrate the life’s work of our band and at the same time the musical legacy of our friend and bandmate Alexi. The gig will be played at the Tavastia club, which is important to Children of Bodom, and at the same time, we will fulfill the long-standing wish of our fans.”

Earlier this year, the band’s official biography was released through Rocket 88, offering an extensive history of Children of Bodom’s three-decade career. Written by Finnish author Timo Isoaho, the book features firsthand accounts from the members, former collaborators, and friends, painting an unfiltered portrait of the band’s rise and challenges.
