Guns N’ Roses have issued a statement addressing Axl Rose’s on-stage outburst during their October 18th show in Buenos Aires, where the frontman abruptly walked off stage mid-song. The incident occurred during the band’s opening number, “Welcome to the Jungle,” when Rose appeared frustrated, throwing his microphone at the drum kit, ripping off his jacket, and later kicking the bass drum. The band has since clarified that a technical malfunction was to blame, explaining:

“During the opening song at our recent Buenos Aires concert, Axl’s in-ear monitor pack had only the percussion in his ears versus the entire mix. The issue was fixed by our tech by the third song, and we had a great night. The situation had nothing to do with Isaac Carpenter’s playing, who is top notch and a great drummer.”

Despite the rocky start, the band finished the show and no incidents have been reported since. Guns N’ Roses continue with their South American tour, tickets are available at this location.
