Nine Inch Nails surprised fans with a special performance outside the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles on Monday (6th) for the world premiere of Tron: Ares. The band, who scored the film’s soundtrack released last month, were joined by frequent collaborator Boys Noize for a brief set. Fan-filmed footage has surfaced online, including both the performance and a post-screening Q&A featuring Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross alongside actor Jeff Bridges.
The live set featured the debut of “Forked Reality” and “Shadow Over Me” from the Tron: Ares soundtrack, as well as “As Alive As You Need Me To Be” and a Boys Noize-assisted remix of “The Warning” from Year Zero. Starring Jared Leto and Evan Peters, Tron: Ares opens in theaters this Friday (10th).
