According to The Sun and People, Ozzy Osbourne’s official cause of death has been revealed. The certificate lists “out of hospital cardiac arrest” and “acute myocardial infarction” as the primary causes, with coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease with autonomic dysfunction noted as “joint causes.”

People reports that Ozzy’s daughter, Aimee Osbourne, submitted the death certificate at a registry in London. The document fittingly described his occupation as: “rock legend, songwriter, and performer.” The iconic Black Sabbath frontman passed away on July 22 at the age of 76, just weeks after delivering his final performance during the Back to the Beginning concert at Villa Park in Birmingham.

In response to overwhelming public interest, the Ozzy Osbourne: Working Class Hero exhibition at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery has been extended through the end of 2025. Opened by Sharon Osbourne on June 25 to coincide with Black Sabbath’s final hometown performance, the free exhibit honors Ozzy’s solo achievements with rare memorabilia, including Grammy awards, platinum records, and more. Following his passing, the museum also hosted a civic condolence book for fans, which closed on August 3 and will be presented to the Osbourne family. Since opening, the exhibit has welcomed over 96,000 visitors and will remain on display with the family’s support.
