The Mars Volta have announced a series of live shows in June with special guest Teri Gender Bender before heading out to their scheduled appearance at this year’s Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival on June 14. Tickets go on sale this Friday (16th) at 10:00 AM local time. The group aims to support their most recent albums, The Mars Volta and Que Dios Te Maldiga Mi Corazón. Cities on this trek include stops the group has not performed since their return. 

In more Mars Volta news, the upcoming film Omar and Cedric: If This Ever Gets Weird (directed by Nicolas Jack Davies and produced by Clouds Hill Films in Association with Pulse Films) was recently announced to have its North American premiere at this year’s SXSW Festival. I
