Paws, Pets & Metal is Metal Insider’s newest column on bands with pets, discovering who watches them on the road, and more. Get to know more about these metal furbabies. We caught up with Inferno Doll as her two cats had no choice but to immediately listen to metal.
Tell us more about your pet(s) and their names?
I’m mother to two beautiful black cats: Morgana and Tito. Morgana is 12 years old and I met her at her foster home in Chile when she was around 3 months old and brought her home with me that day, and we’ve been together since then. Tito is 5 years old and I met him at Regal Cat Cafe here in Calgary and adopted him through Meow Foundation. It was love at first sight and we became friends the second we saw each other.
Have you ever taken your pet on tour?
No, I have not. They prefer staying home.
Who looks after your pet while on the road?
My roommate. And if he’s not in town, my brother or I’ll ask a friend to stay with the kitties while we’re away.
What’s your pet’s favorite song or album?
I think it’s “Renfield”. They come meowing in my room when I play the song or when I practice it. And they even sing along!
How did you introduce your pet to metal?
They didn’t have much of a choice LOL. First day, when Morgana came home, I immediately started playing some Metal and she seemed to enjoy it.
What animal charity means most to you?
I feel closer to the Meow Foundation because that’s where I adopted Tito from. And they were so nice to me during the process of adoption.
