We caught up with Hooker Spit guitarist Devin Link as he revealed his cats have to listen to metal because they simply have “nowhere else to go.”

Tell us more about your pet(s) and their names?

I have 3 cats and a dog, the cats names are Nero, Steven, and Cat Damon, and my dog’s name is Dante.

Have you ever taken your pet on tour?

I haven’t it’s hard to take a pet on tour due to usually playing in bars and they don’t usually have a place to stay.

Who looks after your pet while on the road?

If I’m on the road myself my Wife takes care of our pets but at times we have friends that stop by from time to time to check up on them.

What’s your pet’s favorite song or album?

I don’t know my dog’s favorite song but I do know that as soon as I pick up the guitar my dog walks away.

How did you introduce your pet to metal?

Well they have nowhere else to go when I’m powering through my playlist.

What animal charity means most to you?

Paws and Claws, my local pet store supports them by bringing them into their store to help them get adopted! It’s also the same rescue that I have adopted Cat Damon.
