We don’t know what we were actually expecting from Limp Bizkit’s first single off of the long delayed Gold Cobra. We hated the teasers Fred Durst posted via TwitVid, and the “leaked” song wasn’t much better. And hell, we admit that we definitely enjoy bashing the band every so often. So why didn’t we prep ourselves for the nausea that was bound to occur after hearing this 30 second snippet of the single? On the plus side, the sample of “Shotgun” further proves, as did the TwitVid teasers, that they’re still the same band we hated in middle and high school.

You can listen to the snippet of “Shotgun” if you really want to up top and judge for yourself. If you actually like the song, you can purchase it (without us judging you, we promise) over at Amazon starting May 17. Gold Cobra is supposedly set to be released on June 28 via Interscope Records.
