According to TMZ, detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department plan to meet with one of Marilyn Manson’s alleged victims in “the coming days.” The meeting will determine to see if a crime was committed and if it will warrant a further investigation. The scheduled meeting is in response to a series of allegations against the shock rocker. Earlier this month, actress Evan Rachel Wood and several other women came forward accusing Manson of abuse and assault.
The Huffington Post reports Dan Cleary, co-host of the comedy podcast Rare Form Radio, has claimed he witnessed Manson’s abusive behavior towards his current wife, Lindsay Usich. Clearly explained the following when he worked with the musician as his personal assistant in 2014 and 2015 on his podcast, stating:
“I saw some physical abuse as far as like pushing and throwing things at her and a lot of like violent outbursts around her ― breaking things. A lot of mental abuse and name-calling and threats. There were times when Manson would tell her that he’s going to kill her and cut her up and that I’m going to bury her in the desert ― me. He would leave the room and I would [tell her], ‘You’re going to be fine. I’m not going to do any of that. Let’s get you to a hotel.’”
Following the allegations against the singer, Manson has been dropped by his label and longtime manager, and his acting appearances have been cut. Trent Reznor, Otep Shamaya, and more have responded to the shock rocker. On the same week when the allegations were made public, police swarmed Manson’s home for a welfare check. The artist was OK but just didn’t want to be seen. Manson made a statement on February 1st, denying the allegations against him.
