Earlier today (1st), Evan Rachel Wood and other women accused Marilyn Manson of abuse. Following the allegations, the shock rocker has been dropped from his record label, Loma Vista Recordings, and his upcoming scheduled appearances on Starz’s American Gods and his role for the AMC Networks Shudder anthology Creepshow have been cut. After remaining silent throughout most of the day, Marilyn Manson has issued a statement on Instagram, denying the claims against him.

“Obviously, my art and my life have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality. My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how – and why – others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth.”
