Metal Inside(r) Home Quarantine is Metal Insider’s new column during this time of isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We asked artists five questions on what’s been keeping them busy ranging from their favorite movies, food they’ve been eating, music they’ve been listening to and more. We caught up with Jeff Pennachio as he’s been spending this time focusing on his music career.

What have you been doing to pass time during Quarantine?

I was in quarantine from April until July (mainly because I was laid off, but whatever. All good!)  During this time, I was really able to compile my thoughts and turn this into a serious pivotal point in my music career. I wasn’t doing anything but writing for Design The Void and forming ideas for an independent career as a musician. I partook in other extracurricular activities as well, but that was mainly the extent of it.

Have you been listening to any music or have any playlists worth checking out?

Not currently at the moment.

A lot of people have been spending this time cooking including making their own bread, what food have you been prepping during this time?

My girlfriend and I bought a ton of different cookbooks that are recipes from scratch, to crock and insta pots, baking, and more. So we’ve had a variety of things we have been trying out. We just tried HelloFresh for the first time this past week; it’s basically like going grocery shopping, but it all comes in a box to your door. A bit pricey, but totally worth trying!

In terms of entertainment, what movies, TV shows, books, or games have been keeping you busy?

I have so many games to tackle still! Haha! I recently just obtained Cyberpunk 2077, Crash Bandicoot 4, and the Mafia remake. There are tons more too; it’s just a matter of time to play them.

What advice do you have for your fans in isolation during this time?

I know that for many, being in isolation can be difficult, and we’re ready to get back out there and support our favorite groups, as well as start performing again. Hone in during this time on your skills-spend time networking, developing ideas with others, etc.-this is an excellent way to make the most out of your time to push ahead and get ready for a great year to come! When it comes time to start playing out again, you will be more ready than ever!
