This Saturday (11th), Hellyeah will be celebrating the life of late drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott by performing at the House of Blues in Las Vegas, NV. This will mark the group’s first performance since Vinnie Paul’s passing as he died of cardiomyopathy and severe coronary artery disease on June 22nd, 2018. The band has revealed they recruited Stone Sour drummer Roy Mayorga to fill-in behind the kit.

The group issued the following statement:

“Please welcome our dear friend and brother Roy Mayorga,

Roy Mayorga, who will be guesting behind the drum kit as we honor our brother Vinnie Paul. These men had so much love and mutual respect for each other, this makes our transition so much easier. Ready or not, here we come!”

Hellyeah’s new album will be the final record to feature recordings from the late Vinnie Paul and it is scheduled to be released on June 28th. However, details on the record such as title and artwork haven’t been revealed just yet. In the meantime, you can pre-order the LP here. Watch Hellyeah’s music video for “333” at this location.
